I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the great view from my room and the powerful shower. However, the breakfast was definitely overpriced!

Heating issues plagued my stay, with old windows letting in the cold. The noise levels from neighboring rooms felt like a party gone wild, and the lack of an elevator made lugging bags a real chore up those steep stairs. To top it off, I had an unsettling experience with a fire alarm malfunction in the night and a shower that lacked any proper curtain, leading to wet chaos.

The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The location was excellent, with easy access to public transport and key attractions. I enjoyed the dining area, which was well-equipped for preparing simple meals. It was also a nice touch to have access to a lovely garden, providing a peaceful retreat. My room was clean, and the shower had great water pressure, which I appreciated after long days out.

The Large Double Room was clean and had a great shower—high pressure and rainfall style. Loved the kettle for coffee and being able to open windows for fresh canal air. But, the bed felt a bit thin, and those loungers were kinda grimy. The room had some charm, but if you're tall, watch out for those shower doors blocking space. Overall, a comfy spot despite some quirks.

What a delightful stay! The charm of the historic building combined with the friendly, helpful staff made this experience unforgettable. The self-service breakfast offered was a lovely touch, too.

The location is fantastic, just 300 meters from Waterlooplein and a short walk to various attractions. Breakfast was enjoyable with options like warm rolls and fresh fruit, and the staff facilitated a quick check-in, even allowing storage of luggage before check-in time.
